Primula Eight Cup Coffee Press in Red Primula

Once I received my French Press, I stopped using my automatic drip coffee maker. You use less coffee and it still makes the coffee stronger. It does require higher quality coffee (I use Illy, Carte Noire, or Davidoff). Its about the same price as brand name American coffee but 100 times better. I boil my water using an electric kettle so its actually quicker than making coffee using my electric drip. You will NEVER be able to back to American coffee after this. Coffee done this way requires no flavoring, sugar, milk, its just amazing coffee."..." Read more

Bunn NHBX-B Generation 10-Cup Home Coffee Brewer in Black Bunn
Bunn NHBX-B Generation 10-Cup Home Coffee Brewer in Black

My parents have always had a Bunn coffee maker - I too had one for years, but it was white & when I changed all of my applicances out to Black & Stainless I was using a pot that I received free from one of the major coffee delivery brands, because it looked good & had a timer. Eventually I hated waiting 15 minutes for coffee & it was kind of a pain to keep clean & it made me miss my good old reliable Bunn even though it was white, lol...anyway, my husband got me this new Bunn in black & stainless & I absolutely love it & don't know how I lived without a Bunn for so long...I won't cheat on the Bunn again, lol..."..." Read more

Cuisinox Liberta 10 Cup Espresso Coffeemaker with Replacement Parts Cuisinox
Cuisinox Liberta 10 Cup Espresso Coffeemaker with Replacement Parts

I wanted a larger volume Espresso Coffeemaker (aka moka pot) for my hubby, and this 10 cup size was the largest I could find. 10 cup size 10 small espresso cup sizes. The stainless steel quality on this product fits the bill exactly. I particularly wanted the inside material of the water reservoir to keep from corroding. The previous moka pot we owned was another brand and non-stainless. The inside of it corroded, causing metal flakes to float in the water - not a desirable feature. The interior of this moka pot is the non-corroding type - exactly what I was looking for. This product is heavy, which indicates copper induction engineering - if so, the copper (which you cant see) is likely what makes this coffee maker rather expensive. When I first looked at this coffee maker a year ago (Nov. 2010), it was only 75 but has gone up in price so I jumped on it before it went up more. Also, the title of the product says Replacement Parts (plural) however, it really only comes with ONE replacement part - the rubber seal ring. The other filter included is not technically a replacement part instead it is to be added to the existing filter to lessen the volume of ground beans if you want a smaller quantity of coffee. It cant be used in place of the existing filter if that should get lost or broken. All in all, we are VERY SATISFIED with this coffee maker, and my hubby is a major coffee snob so that says a lot. If you enjoy espresso type coffee without using a full-blown espresso machine, then this is the way to go. We expect many yummy cups of coffee from this coffee makermoka pot for many years to come."..." Read more

Cuisinart Grind and Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker in Brushed Chrome Cuisinart
Cuisinart Grind and Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker in Brushed Chrome

I use this machine to make my coffee every morning. You simply add the right amount of water, set the number of cups you want made and press start. The final product is a great tasting cup of coffee that is as fresh as it gets. I clean the pot, filter and grinder area after every use. It doesn't take long, but it's tough to do if you're in a hurry. Everyday is probably overkill on the cleaning, but you certainly should be cleaning that grinder area often. If you aren't willing to put in a bit of time on a frequent basis to maintain this machine, it probably isn't for you. This machine is for those that really want a fresh cup of coffee that rivals popular coffee stores. This machine is not for those who don't care too much about how their coffee tastes and don't want to spend any time maintaining their machines. If you're looking for a simpler solution, I would recommend a non-grinding unit (like the Cuisinart Brew Central machines) and buying pre-ground coffee or a separate grinding unit. As a side note, the machine is fairly tall. This is something to keep in mind before buying. It may not fit under all cabinets."..." Read more
