My parents have always had a Bunn coffee maker - I too had one for years, but it was white & when I changed all of my applicances out to Black & Stainless I was using a pot that I received free from one of the major coffee delivery brands, because it looked good & had a timer. Eventually I hated waiting 15 minutes for coffee & it was kind of a pain to keep clean & it made me miss my good old reliable Bunn even though it was white, lol...anyway, my husband got me this new Bunn in black & stainless & I absolutely love it & don't know how I lived without a Bunn for so long...I won't cheat on the Bunn again, lol..."..."  Read more

I really love this machine. Its as easy to use as the one at work. On the good side, I would say it brews fast and easy and can make even coffee like Yuban taste really good. Fresh ground beans are out of this world. On the down side, there is no timer to program it to brew while you are brushing your teeth and getting dressed but it makes a whole pot in under 3 minutes and half a pot even faster so the lack of timer really hasnt been an issue for me. Also because this machine has a holding tank of ready hot water, (thats why it can brew so fast) you have to follow specific directions to set it up for the first time out of the box. Directions were very clear so it wasnt that hard. Dont skip ahead, FOLLOW THEM. You are best to use real Bunn filters, they are a little taller than the generic grocery ones. Cost difference was minimal. Also, this machine has a minimum brew of 4 cups because of the balancing of the hot water reserve thing, so if you only want a very small amount most of the time this machine is not for you. Sometimes if I want, I drink my one cup and cool the rest and make iced coffee out of it for later :) There is no dial for heat adjustment on the warmer disc, just an on/off switch. Most of the time I dont need to use it. The lid to the water reservoir slides neatly to the side but you must pay attention to the fact that when you slide it back in place THAT IS THE "ON" SWITCH so you better have your coffee in place and the carafe where it belongs BEFORE you pour the water and slide it shut. These Bunn machines are built to last. The one at work lasted 13 years before it died. I got tired of replacing coffee machines that were cheaper. Looks great too, I have had several people comment on it. My only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is the "have to brew at least four cups issue" because I live by myself."..."  Read more

I'm a Canadian. Our beloved Tim Horton's coffee shops had put out a coffeemaker like this which they had branded and sold to individuals. We used the original one for years and absolutely loved it. There is a reservoir which keeps water hot and ready to run through at all times, so making a pot of coffee takes only about 3 minutes and it's great! When our first coffeemaker finally broke down due to some of the insides being corroded -- but only after a LOT of use -- we bought the new Bunn-made Tim Horton's coffee maker. But it was a different version and we hated it -- seemed like the water ran through too fast, needed 3 times more ground coffee to get a decent strength -- so we gave that one away and ordered this one, which is the first type we had. This is my 3rd Bunn Brewer. The last one finally bit the dust after about 10 years of daily use. I really like that the vacation button is the back now. The biggest difference in this newer unit is the filter, which is now chrome & the entire base is chrome. It looks much nicer than my older model. I opted for the thermal caraf again & love it! I thought about buying the model that heats the water within 6 minutes instead of continually heating, but it did not come in a 12 cup option.
