I really love this 12 cup maximus because I enjoy coffe made freah using a french press and now it is possible for more than one or two people to enjoy coffee at the same time. I was so tired of using a plastic french press because the glass carafe on the real one broke or making a bazillion batches of espresso for myself and my husband in the morning. This thing makes great coffee, keeps it warm, and will NEVER break! The only downer I see is the strange open-close valve for pressing the plunger down. It smacks a bit of bells and whistles, and introduces the only non-bombproof piece to the composition. If I have to replace anything down the road, it's probably going to be that thing. But otherwise, totally worth the price, which was cheaper than most of the other steel presses I saw."..."  Read more

This is not a 3 mug press, but a 1 mug press. The wording makes it appear bigger than it is. But aside from that, it is easy to clean, easy (if you do not overfill it, which takes pactice) to use and portable as long as you have hot water. On my first use, I got a few grounds in my mug, but since then, it has been clear. Çleaning it is as easy as dumping out the grounds and running water through it. The only thing I would change would be the size. If you fill it enough that you do not push out water when plunging, you get just enough to fill a mug without it being cumbersome. It would be nice to be able to pour a second mug without boiling more water, as the title leads you to believe."..."  Read more
