I use this machine to make my coffee every morning. You simply add the right amount of water, set the number of cups you want made and press start. The final product is a great tasting cup of coffee that is as fresh as it gets. I clean the pot, filter and grinder area after every use. It doesn't take long, but it's tough to do if you're in a hurry. Everyday is probably overkill on the cleaning, but you certainly should be cleaning that grinder area often. If you aren't willing to put in a bit of time on a frequent basis to maintain this machine, it probably isn't for you. This machine is for those that really want a fresh cup of coffee that rivals popular coffee stores. This machine is not for those who don't care too much about how their coffee tastes and don't want to spend any time maintaining their machines. If you're looking for a simpler solution, I would recommend a non-grinding unit (like the Cuisinart Brew Central machines) and buying pre-ground coffee or a separate grinding unit.
