GRILLING TIPS
×
Turn up the heat on your grilling technique!
Cut down on cooking time by making sauces and prepping meats a day before.
For perfect grill marks, coat meats and veggies generously with oil and make sure your grill is really hot before cooking.
When using tongs to flip raw meat, wash them well before using again on another ingredient.
Enhance the smokiness of food with wood chips. Soak in water for 30 minutes, then wrap in aluminum foil and place packet directly next to food on grill.
Microwave root veggies (beets, potatoes, carrots) before throwing them on the grill. It will make them more tender and cut down on grilling time.
Don't overcook shrimp. Remove from grill as soon as they turn pink, which should take no more than 1-2 minutes per side.
Remove excessive char from grates to keep the next item on the grate from picking up those flavors.
