I was originally looking to get a Calphalon brand set but looked further into these and found they are very similar. Both brands are considered among the better brands on the market and each has it's pros. I went with these because I love the look, plus they were on sale :) VERY good pan set, they've heated up quickly with my gas stove and clean up is extremely simple.
