Traditional:Traditional pieces generally have wood detail or nailheads, with an "old world" feel.
Modern:Modern pieces are simple with straight lines. They are typically found in nontraditional shapes and sizes.
Casual:Casual ottomans are typically overstuffed or look fluffy in nature. Casual style is designed for comfort rather than aesthetics.
Contemporary:Contemporary pieces are simpler than traditional, but not 100% modern. They have soft but clean lines, but lack the ornate detail found in the traditional style.
Cottage/Country:Cottage/Country style are smaller scale upholstery pieces that are slipcovered or pictured in plaid or floral fabrics.
Rustic:Rustic style is a rugged look where upholstery pieces may have natural wood accents.
Coastal:Coastal pieces are influenced by styles from overseas. Elements typical of this style include rattan, sea grass, wicker, any woven furniture, any furniture adorned with palm trees, or seashells.
Mission / Shaker:Mission style items have lots of vertical slats, and simple horizontal-vertical lines. Shaker furniture is very simple, similar to mission without the slates. Very rarely use light wood (medium wood or darker)
