Chef's Choice International 1.75-qt. Electric Tea Kettle
Love the kettle

Comes to a boil quickly and shuts off on it's own!
good but not great
David from Sausalito, CA– Verified Buyer
It is good looking according to my wife, which is a big plus. I've had other electric kettles that have worked faster. The top does not pop up to even 90 degrees (or come off), so it is a bit hard to fill. It has a big footprint, so takes up significant space on the counter top.
as was printed

We absolutely love our new kettle! It is very sleek and the quality is excellent. Our old one broke and we realized quickly how dependent we were on our electric kettle. We are very pleased with our purchase.
I would buy again

NOT THE BEST
Brunhilda from Beverly Hills
The spout is too narrow, the lid doesnt open wide enough to fill the kettle easily. The handle has a rough seal. After 2 weeks the kettle started leaking right at the switch.Wayfair is replacing the kettle, they were very nice and prompt about it.I would be happier to have a different kettle.
This product is terrific.

Everything is great about this kettle. It heats water in seconds, saves electricity, and is so useful. The price is very reasonable. I have found no faults with this product.
Love this kettle!

This product is great! We use it to heat water for our tea and instant oatmeal. My hubby used to always put a pan of water on the stove and go outside and forget about it. He actually melted a pot onto the stove one time. This takes care of that problem with it's auto shutoff when the water is done! It's very quick and gets the water very hot :-)
Good choice for the money

This kettle works well. It is easy to use and has the convenient separate base so there is no cord attached to the pot itself. Your hand is well protected from the hot pot when you pick it up - not true of some other models. I have since bought two more of these, and all have performed well.
Always enthralled by knife sharpening, Friel included in his list the invention of a truly effective electric knife sharpener that would work on a wide variety of knives, particularly, fine quality gourmet knives. He rescued a 20-year-old set of Gerber knives from a closet. They were a present from his wife June, and to his great frustration, he had never been able to put a satisfactory edge on them.
With fierce determination and a personal deadline of three years to show himself adequate progress on the project, Friel set to work in a basement laboratory and then sought the assistance of other professionals. "They were the nucleus of the EdgeCraft team," recalls Friel. He created thirteen prototypes before he came up with one that satisfied him. Soon after its introduction, the Chef's Choice Diamond Hone Sharpener earned the acclaim of food experts and chefs worldwide, including Pierre Franey, Jacques Pépin and the late Craig Claiborne.
Friel compares the day he left DuPont to follow his second career to the day he walked away from Johns Hopkins University after earning a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering."Unlike the day I left Johns Hopkins, when I left DuPont I could proceed with the knowledge and confidence gained from some 40 years of hands-on experience," Friel recalls. "I saw a need and I had the confidence that I could deliver."
