I use this every day and it still works perfectly. Very fast heat up cycle and I would buy again. High quality.

I love this electric tea kettle. I have two. I keep one at home and one at my place of work. It heats quickly and is sturdy.

A Must Have in the Kitchen! from Santa Cruz, CA on 11/14/2010 – Verified Buyer
This kettle (as well as our previous, Russell Hobbs kettle) get constant use in our kitchen as we consume a LOT of tea and coffee. We like the efficiency of a kettle. Yes, it consumes a lot of energy when on, but for a very short amount of time so it's ultimately more energy efficient than using the range. It's also wonderfully convenient as it doesn't take up space on the range and can be brought to any flat surface to serve. The only negative is that it makes a tremendous amount of noise as the water nears a boil, but this is not a problem just an occasional annoyance. I highly recommend it. My only advice: if you have a large family get a larger capacity kettle as this one is good for only 2-3 large mugs.

So far like the performance, but the lid has started to be difficult to get off when filling.
