I bought this smoker and have since had two more friends purchase the same smoker. We all love the smoker. The only complaint is that the wood chips don't seem to burn as efficient as possible. It takes about an hour from starting the smoker until the smoke is right because the wood chips as slow burning. I have used this smoker for over a year. I have smoked chicken, boston butts, and ribs in it. Also, purchase a disposable pan from dollar tree and use it to catch the drippings. Otherwise the drippings will fall directly on the heating element and make a horrid mess. Pros: PRICE, Consistent Performance, Easy to control temperature, Cons: Takes an hour to reach the point of smoking... See review...

I got this as a gift for my husbands birthday. He loved it. However, the door was caved in at the top in two places and it would not close. He called Char Broil directly and they sent him out a new door at no cost to us! The box was a little banged up when it got here. No fault of Wayfair. It was a great deal and we can't wait to use it. Tonight...smoked chickens! I got alot of recipes on line by just googling "electric smoker recipes".

Have used it once to smoke pork tenderloin. We have a charcoal smoker and found that this electric smoker was easy and fast. As we are learning to use an electric smoker we had to experiment somewhat because Charbroil does not include directions. We are picking it up though through reading on-line forums. The pork tenderloin had a light smoky flavor.

Easy to assemble looks nice Heats rapidly but it is difficult to get the wood chips to start smoking, especially at low temperatures Had to turn unit up to heat that was not recommended for what I was smoking in order to get the chips to produce smoke. After I reduced heat to where it should be still produced smoke but still not very much

The box and packing was done wonderfully to ensure everything arrived in perfect condition. In my opinion you have to have a thermometer on a smoker and with this smokers thermometer right in the front, it's perfect.

Only used it once so far...beef jerky turned out excellent. Lowest setting still got a little hotter than we would have liked. I think after more practice, it will be just fine.
