Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of both the Schoharie and Delaware rivers.
Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. The company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services.
Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".
Catskill is also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade. Their products are described as "high quality at fair prices".

Good product but needs some work.

This kitchen cart is made of birch. It is easy to assemble when you receive all the parts! Our box didn't have the drawer slides. I called the company and they sent them out UPS ground so I had to wait another week to put it together. The person I spoke to at the company was nice but never apologized for my inconvenience. When I put it together all parts were straight and true. In my opinion the method of joinery is just ok at best. Parts are assembled using a similar but inferior system to those used on Danish furniture (post and cam locks). The top will require final sanding as it is a bit rough. Once you have done this and oiled the top with mineral oil or the Boos block oil which I used, you will have a very nice kitchen cart. It seems sturdy and hopefully will hold up over time. Pros: Nice looking, easy to put together, Cons: Top needs sanding
Very pleased but assembly is not simple
Scott from San Diego, CA – Verified Buyer
I very much like this kitchen cart and am happy with my purchase. Assembly was not simple, as noted by at least one other reviewer. This was complicated by the holes being incorrectly drilled in at least one piece...I examined this over and over to ensure I wasn't wrong but, after a lot of deliberation and re-reading of the instructions, I decided I was right and simply redrilled the holes where they should have been based on the instructions. I should acknowledge though that I am not very handy so I still could have been the source of the problem. The resulting cart though is solid and beautiful and fits exactly what I was looking for. Would get 5 stars if not for the assembly issue.
Sturdy and beautiful

It is a super addition to any kitchen and nice enough to roll into the dining room to serve from. I put most of it together by myself--took one call to the manufacturer for clarification, but they were courteous and responsive. Having another person help with the shelves is a must, though. Pros: Good quality wood, casters and drawer slides. A very good purchase for the money. Cons: Haven't encountered a negative yet.

A quality product especially for the price! Solid, heavy, well-made. My husband had no trouble assembling it although he did have to sand the top a little before he oiled it. Otherwise, a beautiful addition to our kitchen and after looking at dozens of other kitchen carts, I am very happy I chose this one. Read the instructions on how to care for the wood before you apply any substance.

Timely shipping. Well packaged. Assembled easily. (Website has a video) Pros: Perfect size and look for my kitchen Cons: a little taller than I expected. I am short (5'2") but hubby is tall (6'2"). We may take the casters off

You need to watch the video before attempting to assemble. I followed it exactly and had no trouble.
Perfect for my kitchen

Beautiful piece of furniture. Very solid. It provides the extra storage and work space I needed. My son-in-law and grandson put it together in about 2 hours. They said it was definitely a two man job. The boxes that it was delivered in were VERY heavy.
