I have four cats (1 is 22 lbs) and all four use the cat tree. Often I will have 2 to 3 cats on at 1 time. the lower shelves are spaced closely but my girls are small and lay on the shelves especially when the top shelf is occupied. Big Boy loves climbing and is often on the top shelf. If he jumps off the tree stays in place which is key when you have multiple cats or a very large cat. I'm still trying to get the cats to use the sisal rope for scratching, but they are not used to the rope. Loved the fact the cat tree came pre-assmbled and is made of wood not pressed card board. Once the cat tree was out of the box it was pretty easy to move around the house my self. One item on both of the cat trees I purchased there are holes in the carpet (looks like from the tool to attach the carpet to the tree). Other than that it doesn't look bad, and the cats actually use it. I would like a version which is taller or an additional shelf. "..." Read more

Got two of these. They are same height as our window sills, which is good for cat-level bird watching. They are not so tall that they either bring the cats too close to areas we'd like them not to jump on AND at this height we can even crack the window open a bit for the cat, safely, and let them have the sounds and smells of the great back yard. That's nice for them and us. They are sturdy, no assembly at all, and the cats took to them immediately. They are big and roomy for a cat to sleep either curled up or stretched out, which is nice. The dual scratching and support posts are great. The look pretty nice, the carpeting and the attachment of same is fairly smooth and not easily ripped up and away. We would buy more of these, or at least more from the same maker because they are much better quality and a good price, compared to what even the big pet stores carry."..." Read more

only change I would make is a boarder around the top shelf. Cat feels safer sleeping there with a boarder (we have another tree with the such a boarder)."
