I bought this model as my second cat tree from Amarkat, since my kitten claimed the first one and wouldn't let my 3 year old on it. This new one is also a hit, even though it is a smaller model and the top platform isn't as high up. With 2 trees, my younger cat has decided to share and now they climb and sleep on both of them. I love this new tree for several reasons. First, it was easy to put together (took about 20 minutes). The color is more of neutral beige than a khaki. The peach is also a bit darker, so both colors blend with my carpet/room decor and don't stand out too much. I also love the fake fur covering- it is a bit fluffier than on my other Amarkat, and is warm and comfy enough for both kitties to sleep on. I also love that it's not the old fashioned carpet with longer fibers, which I've had on other cat furniture and which I found constantly strewn all over the house. The sisal scratching posts are also great, and has reduced the wear and tear on my couch. I also love the sizes of the bottom "house" and the platforms. My older cat is 13 lbs. and fits comfortably inside the box and on the top platform. I have found on other cat trees, even some of the Amarkat products, that the "houses" and platforms were a litte too small for larger cats to lie comfortably. Because the center of gravity is low on this tree, and the overall height is just under 5', it is pretty stable. As with all cat trees (including my other Amarkat, which is 6'), however, there is some wobbling when both cats play on it at the same time. But so far, it hasn't tipped over. Finally, I love Amarkat cat trees as a whole because they are sturdy products (with replaceable parts) at prices that are much more reasonable than other brands. Just make sure to shop around and buy from online stores like AllPetFurniture (or even from[...]), rather than directly from [...] or you will pay more. And it is also much cheaper to buy Amarkat trees online than in pet stores. Overall, other than the slight wobbliness and the need to periodically tighten the components, I love this cat tree! I purchased the Casita Fur Cat Tree for my 12 week old kitten and 14 year old cat. While my 14 year old cat is a bit too old to do much jumping and climbing, I placed a cat bed for her on the bottom base and she likes to hang out there. My 12 week old acrobatic kitten LOVES her new cat tree and enjoys every feature. She uses the sisal rope wrapped posts to scratch, which is wonderful and keeps her from scratching our furniture. She naps in the top perch and loves playing with the hanging mouse toy. The cat tree is very sturdy and stands up to all the leaping and acrobatics of a 12 week old kitten. We keep our Casita Fur Cat Tree in the kitchen, and it has been a Godsend at dinner time. The kitten is occupied in the cat tree, while we're cooking and eating, and keeps her from constantly being under foot and trying to jump up on the kitchen table. Assembly of the product was fairly simple and took two of us, about 20-30 minutes. The only reason I'm not giving the product 5 stars is the faux sheepskin is a bit thinner than I would have expected. We've owned the cat tree for about 4 weeks now and the cats haven't ripped it, but I would have expected the faux sheepskin to be a little thicker. This Cat Tree is absolutely beautiful and top quality, it is very sturdy and very tall, the carpet is very soft, just wish it was a little thicker, hopefully it will last. The only thing is the house & teepee are a little small for bigger cats, I lifted my cat up onto it to get him adjusted to it and to let him know it's his. When I put him in the house his head stuck out the one door and his back end stuck out the other door but he can still use it, the teepee is even smaller, he would have to bend down to get in it, it is almost too tight a squeeze for him. I tried to put him in it, but he got scared and jumped down before I could really tell if he could squeeze into it. The basket seems okay, I put him in there but he jumped down once again before I could really tell, and the perch seems big enough too, I didn't put him on that yet, I haven't tried the hammock yet either, but I think he could squeeze into that one too. All in all, I think once he is used to it, he will love it, because he loves to climb and jump onto things. I bought this so that hopefully he would stop jumping on my tables and places he shouldn't be, because he keeps breaking all my valuables when he jumps on them. My cat always takes time with new things before using them, if for some reason he doesn't use it, then I guess I will have to adopt a new Kitty so it won't go to waste. Just an excuse to get another pet. I love animals, my cat is a Siamese and is 6 yrs. old but very active, loves to play, he is 12 1/2 inches high and 11 inches long, big kitty. I also have a little Chihuahua that is 7 yrs. old and loves to run and play, he fits better in the houses than my cat unfortunately. I bet I will find him climbing on it. I had only one problem putting this together, in that the boards were marked incorrectly, and the picture directions were hard to read, so I ended up putting the taller poles on the wrong end of the base and wondered why the holes weren't lining up correctly with the next board that went on top of it. I thought the boards were drilled incorrectly [...] Then I had my Father look at them and we then realized they were incorrectly marked and that the poles were on the wrong end of the board, [...] Once we realized what was wrong, we got it put together in no time, very easy to do and we really didn't need the picture directions after that.I would definately recommend this cat tree and this company to everyone I know that has pets. I am very satisfied. I just wish that the houses and things were made a little bigger so bigger kitties can get more use out of it and enjoy it more. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, was because of the size of the houses and things not being big enough for bigger cats to really be comfortable in, otherwise terrific. I purchased this cat tree because my two kitties, Miles and Cody, were having such fun with the first cat tree I got them. I didn't want another one that was very high or large since I live in an apartment with limited space. This cat tree fit the bill and, once assembled, looked just like the picture. The construction is solid and the dangling toys provide a fun distraction when kitty isn't just lounging on the cat tree. To begin with, though, my cats pretty much ignored this cat tree once I had it set up. I couldn't figure out why until I was cleaning one day and had to put the cat tree on top of a large box to get it out of the way. Miles and Cody immediately pounced on it and started playing with it like crazy. Eureka! Turns out it just wasn't high enough for them to be interested. This is a great cat tree if you can find the right location for it. Or maybe your cats aren't as picky about height and will love it for its 28 inches. I could also see this as being a great cat tree for kittens who haven't quite mastered jumping and climbing yet."..."  Read more
