I purchased the Casita Fur Cat Tree for my 12 week old kitten and 14 year old cat. While my 14 year old cat is a bit too old to do much jumping and climbing, I placed a cat bed for her on the bottom base and she likes to hang out there. My 12 week old acrobatic kitten LOVES her new cat tree and enjoys every feature. She uses the sisal rope wrapped posts to scratch, which is wonderful and keeps her from scratching our furniture. She naps in the top perch and loves playing with the hanging mouse toy. The cat tree is very sturdy and stands up to all the leaping and acrobatics of a 12 week old kitten. We keep our Casita Fur Cat Tree in the kitchen, and it has been a Godsend at dinner time. The kitten is occupied in the cat tree, while we're cooking and eating, and keeps her from constantly being under foot and trying to jump up on the kitchen table. Assembly of the product was fairly simple and took two of us, about 20-30 minutes. The only reason I'm not giving the product 5 stars is the faux sheepskin is a bit thinner than I would have expected. We've owned the cat tree for about 4 weeks now and the cats haven't ripped it, but I would have expected the faux sheepskin to be a little thicker. This was the best thing I bought since I adopted my kitty a few months ago!!! When I brought my kitty home (from a shelter) she was very angry & hissed at everyone until today (when I put this cat tree together & put her on it). I put the cat tree on an old end table, in front of a window, in the living room & sprayed some (liquid) catnip on it & now she is purring & absolutely loves it!!! She's about 10 pounds & it's NOT too small for her. I love this tree for the living room!! I will come back for a full-size perch (for my bedroom) as soon as we move!! Thanks again!!"..."  Read more

My large and heavy male cat, watched every movement as this tree was unboxed in June and and followed it from the front door to its location. He promptly climbed to the top perch where he spends many hours looking outside daily. A neighbor cat who visits every day wrestles with him on it. My middle cat began using it after about four months. It is well made, solid, and has taken a lot of cat abuse yet still looks like new after seven months despite bits of carpet being clawed free. The cats use all three of the tallest posts for scratching AND climbing although two are carpeted posts. It never threatens to tip even when my herd hits it running at full speed! I spent a lot of time on line checking out cat trees. We have another cat tree (made by another company) that is about the same size as this one which is also very nice. Since I was happy with that one I was leary about getting this one because I didn't know anything about the company. We went ahead and ordered it. When it came I was very happy with the beautiful colors, just like in the picture. I put the "houses" together myself the evening we received it. The next morning I assembled it all by around noon. I will say there were no written directions that came with it...only a small piece of paper saying "Please start from the bottom and work your way up." It also came with a diagram (no words) of what to do. It had letters for the bolts and posts, but none of them were marked. It also had numbers for the posts on the diagram, but none of them were marked, either. I am so glad I cut out the picture of the cat tree from the box it came in and I used that for reference for the different colors etc. There are 9 different sizzle posts sizes and since none were marked, I laid them down in a row in the order of their sizes. Anyway, I finally got it together and if I can do it (I'm 60) anyone should be able to. It's lovely and I am extremely happy with it."..."  Read more
