Our previous experience with an automatic cat feeder was not good. We have a cat with CRF and we cannot leave her at the vet's while we're away as she is a picky eater. We went away for a long weekend to visit our son at college. When we came home, we found the automatic feeder had not advanced although the timer was advancing. Our cat was thin before the trip and was gaunt by the time we got home. For the next trip, I ordered the Six Day Automatic Pet Dish by Koolatron and it worked as it advertised. I did put the cover and bottom of the feeder in the dish washer and the cover came out a little warped. Hopefully it will work for the next trip. Just a note on the packaging stating it is not dish washer safe would be helpful. I did check the packaging before washing the feeder. This elevated cat dish is great for large cat breeds like my Maine Coon. Cats hate to place their heads in feeding dishes that are too deep and too narrow (as are most cat dishes). This wide and shallow dish is great and fits nicely in the wooden stand, and I use it for dry cat food. I had a hard time finding elevated feeding dishes that were not dog themed. This one is "breed neutral" and very stylish. The only down side is that I could not determine if extra dishes were available for purchase, as spares against breakage, and also so I would not have to wash the same dish every day. We love the fact that the Tigrito bowl is cute, but not too overly cute for my husband's taste. It is sturdy and the design of it is very smart. What is great for our cat is that the bowls are not too deep and they are rounded. Previous bowls we had were not rounded, so our cat had a hard time eating from the corners. Lastly, the bowls are loose so they are easily cleaned! Overall, we as a family give it an A+. Its all about great design & function!"..."  Read more
