The cat looked at this bed and hopped right in claiming it. He stays in it longer with a pad under it,(foam patio chair pad in summer) or in this case my bed. The small is a good fit for a 8 pound tabby. He seems very comfortable and sleeps warmly in the winter. For a larger cat Please consider bigger beds. Cat is 15 years old and has no trouble getting in or out with the high sides.The color goes well with household furniture. Seems a little flimsy, but the cat is pleased with it, Sleeps the whole night though so a good purchase. The white inside shows dirt quickly. Materials in this bed are of highest quality. The bed does not shed and is easy to wash and dry. Both of my cats can fit perfectly into this bed and can keep each other warm at night. I have this on my bed and it has ended disagreements with the cats about who is going to get which bed. Cats can stretch out or curl up and still have the cozy feeling of the sides of the bed protecting them. It is soft and warm. I highly recommend this company and this bed. We have two cats, and they both love this bed. One of them is in it almost all the time when we are home (we may have to purchase a second one). We think they like it because when they curl up in it, it sinks down a bit, so the bed nestles up around them, and it is thick, so they have lots of cushioning under them as well. They also seem to like putting their heads up on edge of the puff when they are just resting, and when they want some serious sleep they will tuck their noses under some of the material to cover their eyes. Overall, the perfect cat bed. Each of our cats weighs about 12 pounds, and we actually exchanged the 18" puff for a 26" puff, and that worked better for them - they needed the extra room of the 26" puff. The sherpa material does collect fur a bit, but the cover is washable, so it's not really a concern. We have purchased many cat beds over the years, and the sherpa puff is the first bed that they have both liked a lot."..."  Read more

This bed is smaller than I expected, even though the ad said for a small dog or cat. I bought it for my dog, but the cat took it over. Although my dog is a little too big for the bed, he loves to curl himself up and stuff himself into this bed when the cat isn't it it!
