This is a sturdy library chair like we had in the 50's. Very easy to assemble and it looks terrific. Shipping was super fast and the box arrived intact, very well packed.

My daughter purchased and had refinished an Antique Desk in black and I must say trying to match the color black in 2 different items can be quit difficult. These chairs were just what I was looking for and the match the table perfectly. Good size seat will fit anyone. But do be prepared to assemble them. The rep told me they'd already be put together but they were not. Not hard to do, just know that.

This is a great chair for the price. It is sturdy and looks fantastic in my dining room. The seat of the chair is average size- if you are buying for larger people you might need a bigger base. Overall I am very pleased with this chair.

These chairs are exceptionally comfortable and sturdy. They look beautiful and feel as though they should be more expensive; however, you have to be careful with them because they ding and chip easily. It would be nice if they came with a small can of black touch up paint. Overall, though, for the price you can't beat it. I am very pleased with them, their function and how they look!

The chairs i purchased are very nice chairs, but i'm not sure if they are exactly what i was looking for. Difficult to keep clean, not sure if it's because of the matte finish. I was a little dissapointed with the overall size. I have a very small kitchen table, so the measurements had to be exact. the back of the chairs curve instead of being straight up, which changed the way they fit into my kitchen. The chairs were an awesome price for the quality. Very heavy and sturdy chair, not like the chairs i've seen at dept. stores. Pleased with my chairs.

Recently redecorated my kitchen and bought black saddle stools for the island bar area. I needed a similar wooden chair for the built-in desk in the kitchen. This Prairie dining chair in antique black was perfect.

I ordered the Hudson table and Prairie chairs from Carolina Cottage for our kitchen. They are terrific, I can't believe I got such a nice, sturdy table and chairs over the internet! The chairs are very heavy and are constructed much better than most of the ones I've seen in local stores, for a much better price. The chairs came pre-assembled, and wrapped up very, very securely in foam, paper, and boxes. Not a scratch was on them.
