Little assembly needed - took about 10 minutes. It's perfect for what we want and good for the price. Kids can have a great time doing crafts and puzzles on this and I don't have to worry about it because it's all a formica sort of material and will wipe and clean off easily. Was this helpful? Only problem is that there are two scratches on the corner of the table, otherwise would have gotten a 5 star rating. But I will remedy that with a touch up marker from the hardware store.
