Carolina Cottage Hawthorne Table in Antique Black - VSBAR-AB

I love this table! Of good quality...wipes well...and many compliments. It also fits well in my small kitchen. When i feel like reading while cooking...guess where I'm sitting? Yes, at my Carolina Cottage Hawthorne Table. If you're thinking about it, buy it! That sounds cliche but I'm a stickler for quality; even if I'm buying an inexpensive piece I expect a measure of quality and appearance.

The size of this table is perfect for my small kitchen, and it is easy to seat two adults side by side with enough room for them to eat. The table seems to be fairly sturdy so far, I've only had it three months. It would have been easy to assemble, had it been in good condition. One of the aprons was broken off when the table arrived. I didn't want to go through the hassle of reboxing it and returning it, so we glued it back on with superglue and let it sit overnight. So far it has held up. Also, the paint was chipped off of one corner of the table. I was able to take some touch up paint and cover it. If you wipe this table with a wet rag very much, the top becomes discolored, so if you want it stay shiny and nice looking, I would recommend putting some polyurethane over it when you first get it.

[...] The top and legs seem to be made of wood, but the sides are definitely particle board. It's also made in China.

We have a small kitchen and a half wall separating the dining area and kitchen...we placed the counter high table against the half wall and placed 3 stools around it...it has proven very functional yet elegant. It [...] was easy to assemble.

I use this table in my very small "breakfast nook" right off my kitchen for my husband, daughter, and myself to eat most of our meals at. If I had room for a table that was a little wider, it would have been better as this one is a little cramped for three people but a larger table just wouldn't fit in my situation. If you are considering this table for three or more people, I don't recommend it as the legs are too close together to get up to the table comfortably on the ends. However, for two people, it's great! Seems to be holding up really well, liquids don't damage the surface and it is sturdy and not wobbly at all. Overall, this is a great table and I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

I had been looking for a table like this for at least a year. I just about decided it didn't exist! I have a small condo and it compliments my food prep island beautifully. Easy to put together[...]. Very pleased. I look forward to shopping with you more often.
