Capresso Coffee Team GS 10 Cup Coffee Maker with Burr Grinder

Constant frustration with this machine. I have abandoned the idea of EVER finding a decent machine that can grind and brew in one. This is the fourth one I have tried. Do yourself a favor and simply buy a SEPARATE grinder for your coffee machine! This Capresso has had constant difficulty with the CHUTE where the grinds travel from the grinder to the brewing basket. The logical design would have been to put the grinder right over the TOP of the basket so the grinds could just drop down via GRAVITY! Oh no, that would make too much sense, so instead the rocket scientists at Capresso put the grinder behind and beside the brewing basket so the grinds have to travel almost HORIZONTALLY to get into the basket. SURPRISE guys, that DOESN'T WORK!! Of course the coffee grinds get stuck inside the chute trying to go sideways, and the whole system gets backed up constantly, causing the machine not to brew. SO you are daily forced to open up the chute enclosure and take a little brush to try and sweep out the grinds. UGGGGHHH! So frustrating. Would be easier to just have a whole separate grinder, which is what I plan to go and buy today. I have had this machine for about 18 months and now it has simply DIED. No matter how much I clean it out and reset it, it will grind, but it will no longer brew coffee at all. From my point of view, for a machine this expensive, it is a TOTAL BUST! CANNOT recommend to anyone. Save yourself the headaches and just find a really good brewing machine and buy a SEPARATE grinder.

Best coffee maker ever! Easy to clean, (except for the little shoot the coffee grins travel in from the grinder) and always makes perfect coffee!
