Mat was easy to install, provides adequate cushioning for our basement workout area. No noticeable odor as others have noted in reviews. Overall it looks nice and meets our needs.
durable, definitely a puzzle

This is a good rubber product for the garage, not much for kids playing area or somewhere where you may be trying to add some cushion to prevent injury due to a fall. Rubber is very hard, pieces are a challenge to put together. Takes time to assemble.
CAP Barbell mats

These are good mats for the price. They are soft enough for sit-ups. Not durable enough for padding for Olympic lifting.
Softer than I expected
Daniel Monahan from Roslindale, MA– Verified Buyer
I had expected a less flexible mat when I ordered this. It comes in six pieces and is more like a yoga mat than something you'd use to lift from and drop weights on. Still, it will have it's uses and arrived without damage.
Good as advertised
Jose Suarez from Cedarhurst, NY
The mats are thick (3/4 inch) and can support heavy weight lifting equipment. Only minus is the smell of the mats when installing. The room needs to be well ventilated when installing.
Don't mind the smell

Agree with one reviewer that initially upon opening these have an awful chemical odor. I made mistake of setting up one package and then had to vacate the room for a few days. I learned to open them up and let them air out in the garage for a few days then bring them in the house after which they were fine.
Excellent Floor Cover
Richard from Watertown, MA– Verified Buyer
Bought 6 packs of these to cover the basement floor in order to make it into a workout area. The pieces are nice and thick and do a good job cushioning the cement.

Product much sturdier than roll up exercise mats. This is perfect for placement under my recumbent exercise bike.
