Canwood Furniture Mates Bed

The assembly instructions are somewhat confusing, the illustrations have errors which created confusion which lead to assembly-disassembly-reassembly, checking, double checking, reading ahead and just took extra time to put together. We found two critical parts missing and had to wait for the manufacturer to mail them to us. Once it was all said and done, the bed is very nice, a decent quality for a childs first bed and economical.

There are some solid wood parts, but the entire headboard section in particular is made out of particleboard! Very disappointing poor quality. Assembly instructions are all graphics and do not match the component parts--plan on taking many hours to assemble this bed.

i rarely will review any products but i am so unhappy with this item. we purchased 2 of these beds for our twin 3 year old boys about a year ago. they are impossible to put together (easily 5 hours per bed) and I am handy. there are no written directions only pictures so good luck figuring out the proper way. i had to take things apart at one point because I guessed wrong. once together, the parts are constantly falling out. there are these metal circles which are meant to lock things together. they do not stay tight and fall out all the time. drawers are falling apart. the finish is cheap and the beds look like they are 10 years old instead of 1. i had to assemble them in the bedroom as the are extremely heavy once assembled. total letdown.

Love the bed, expect to spend time with assembly (esp. with the drawers). We purchased an extra set of drawers for the opposite side.

This bed is very pretty. It is perfect for our 3.5 year old son. He loves it. It was not hard to put together if you that the two small children 'helping' out of the equation. I would buy this bed again.

The finish is decent looking but the bed was extremely difficult to assemble (took nearly 7 hours). The instructions were bad/incorrect for some parts. The furniture only has a cherry facing, the rest is flimsy particle board and some of the boards/screws were defective; therefore some parts such as the drawers didn't assemble properly and were a real struggle. [...] Don't order this unless you have a lot of patience and time on your hands.

This is a nice quality bed at a great price! My son (12) really likes it. We moved him up to a full size bed from a twin size bed. I like the simple design and the added storage in the bookcase headboard and under the bed. I also like that you don't need a box spring. The only thing I didn't like was that it was terribly difficult to assemble. The instructions were hard to read/understand and some of the holes were predrilled in the wrong spots or not predrilled at all when they should have been. Overall I think it is a great bed!

It's a great kids' bed. My 4-year-old son loves it. I like its sturdy construction and the smell of the wood. I also like it because of big drawers underneath and bookshelves in the head. The color is very nice too. The bed doesn't need a box spring. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Perfect for my growing son - this is his first big boy bed - and we are both happy to have the drawers to store extra bedding and toys. Well made and quite easy to put together.
