Canwood Furniture Kids Chest - 572-4

THIS CHEST OF DRAWERS WAS PURCHASED FOR OUR DAUGHTER. SHE LOVES IT. IT TOOK A BIT OF TIME PUTTING IT TOGETHER, BUT THE OUTCOME WAS GREAT. IT IS MADE WITH STURDY WOOD AND WOOD PRODUCTS. THANKS!

I bought two of these... the first one took me two hours and I had only one damaged drawer which was okay. But the second one I opened had tons of issues! The two side pieces were scratched up but thankfully on the inside. That could have been easily overlooked. However, the pre-drilled holes for some of the special "catch screws" were way too small. A rubber mallet helped get them into place but rendered the catch screws unmovable! Which defeats their purpose! The backing was partially broken and another drawer face was damaged. A few things to overlook, no problem.. but this many problems? I have an issue with. Have requested replacement parts and have yet to see how Wayfair will respond to these issues.

Its a good chest. Has lots of storage.

The product arrived with a critical component missing, the wooden lower valance that fits below the bottom drawer.

If you are considering this dresser, please consider something else instead. We had purchased the alpine base bed and the night table and we very happy with them (although they really should include plastic covers for the screw holes). However, this dresser is really quite terrible. Two of the drawers and one side of the top were completely chipped and need touch ups and none of the drawers line up. We have tried them all in each position and now have them somewhat lined up, but there are gaps and the bottom drawer will not close completely (the predrilled holes were not in the right spot). We were not expecting perfection, given the price, however, this dresser was one big disappointment.

This is a good quality hardwood dresser. It is a little smaller than I expected but the measurements matched up! It also doesnt take up to much room in my son's bedroom but still has plenty of drawer space. It has a natural wood look to it. [...] It took me about 2 hours to put it together and I needed a little assistance in the beginning of assembly to hold the larger peices together. Overall I am pretty pleased!

I bought it for my great-grandson's room. It matches his crib exactly. It is a very nice piece of furniture. I'm a very satisfied customer and the price very reasonable. Thank you.

I bought this piece, along with two night tables and the loft bed, for my 7 yr old son. He is very happy with all of them. Overall it is a decent buy for the price. The top, drawer fronts/sides/back, lower trim piece, and structural pieces inside are made of solid pine. The dresser sides and drawer bottoms are made of chipboard with a veneer. The veneer was done well and looks like real wood. I like the way the drawers slide in and out very smoothly. My main complaint was the kit was missing some hardware (several dowel pegs and screws) and the directions were missing. I was able to buy the missing hardware at [...]and I figured out how to assemble it. I also replaced the standard wooden pulls with satin nickel ones, and it really dresses it. I would recommend this to others, but please realize you get what you pay for. If you are expecting fine furniture made of solid hardwood this isn't for you, but if you want a decent inexpensive piece for a child's room it's a good buy.

This is a great dresser! Obviously, if you are looking for high quality furniture this isn't for you, but it's perfect for a kids bedroom. My 9-year old loves it. It's sturdy, the drawers pull nicely, and it looks great. You won't find anything better for the price. I'm going to buy another one.
