I gave up on electric can openers. This manual opener works with minimal effort and with no sharp edges to cut your hands."

This opener is so slick that I actually look forward to opening cans with it. The ratchet action of the handle is especially good for people with hand injuries, arthritis, or anything else that impairs a normal hand grip. Also great is the fact that contents of the can don't get on the opener, so there's no mess to clean up -- and, of course, there are no sharp edges. The only problem I had at first was figuring out how to use the little "hooks" on the gripper to lift the lid off the can, but that was probably because I didn't look at the instructions first. Now I find the whole process a snap, and I love it. In fact, I originally got my opener as a present from a relative, and now I've in turn bought one for a friend."..."  Read more

It feels really nice in your hand. The only issue I have with it is that the magnet is in a bad spot. I thought that the magnet would be on the lid as I was opening the can but that is not the case. You have to open the can leaving it a attached a bit then lift it with the magnet. The first time I opened a can, the lid fell in. Other than that I love it!"..."  Read more
