I have used this pan to make chicken and beef pot pies, cornbread, etc. It heats quickly and evenly. It is the perfect size to use in my Toaster/Convection oven. It is easy to clean. The handles do get hot, but that happens with all cast iron. I was very impressed with the seasoned finish, it's the best I have seen on any cast iron.
