Not to say you won't get some spurts of oil but this fryer is a great help in correcting my problem. I have made swedish meatballs, gravies, rice dish on top of the stove that I often cook in the oven. It has used for sauting, frying pork steaks, and quick cooking fresh vegetables. One day the pan was left on fire too long, it scorched the food, but did not burn the pan at all. Great clean up! The price for this pan was well worth it, also that of the Simply set. When I purchased this pan I was looking for a set of Kitchen Essentials without that cushioning on the handles. I worry that it will melt in the oven.
