Small enough to give you a clean, clutter less look. It is easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It makes the perfect audio tower. It is not solid wood but in my opinion, it is not necessary. Mom Assembler from Oswego NY	4.0 11/7/2011 Serves the purpose I bought this tv stand for a 32 inch flat panel tv. The size of the unit is perfect. Even though I don't have it in a corner, I have the option. I like the doors for anything below the first shelf and I actually like the open first shelf since that's where my satellite box is and I can get to it easily. I put it together myself in a couple of hours. The only thing I did was screw something through the top of the back panel. You can't see it but the directions weren't clear and I should have paid closer attention. Otherwise, very easy assembly for one person. Make sure you are doing it on carpet cause you have to slide pieces on their tops. Only thing is I have to dust it about every day because it's black but I like how it looks nicer matching the tv.
