Putting the stand together was relatively easy; did it in an evening. I did find that the drawers (which are mounted on rails) were not the easiest things in the world to get set correctly; it took quite some doing to get them moving smoothly.
I had exactly the right number of everything; be warned that there are no extra screws, etc., at all.
I used a jigsaw to widen the wire holes in the back of the stand, to increase airflow. I also mounted an exhaust fan for a particularly hot component. Everything worked fine.
The stand looks nice (it's holding up a 60" tv) and is quite sturdy. There's a small crack in the veneer, but one must be right next to it to discover it. I have no idea whether the crack was there when we got the stand or not; we're fortunate that it's essentially invisible.
Always remember to check the dimensions (this is a big stand, and is quite heavy!) carefully. This stand is taller than some other models because of the drawers, and that impacts the viewing height of the TV.
