We were looking for a well made all wood (not particle board or pressed wood) bunkbed for our girls with under bed storage. We wanted a bed with good slat support and tha had a built in ladder and that could be configured so the ladder could be placed on either side and on either end of the bed. This is a great bed that met our needs. Pros: The bed arrived well packaged and only the head boards needed two people to bring it in the house. The other packaged parts could easily be carried by one person. Assembly was easier than I anticipated and can be done by one person. The design allows for tight fitting junctions and for dissassembly without fear breaking the bed, too. The wood and finish are hard and resistant to dents and scratches. The under bed drawers are deep Cons: Drawers are not in tracks or guides so when we move the bed, we have to adjust drawers back into place (minor con). The draweres roll in & out via good quality rollers on the bottom of the drawers themselves."..."  Read more

I feel this is a strong purchase for not just a child but for life. It is truly built to last which is what I was shopping for. I spent 3 days shopping and wanted quality at a good price. I found for fake wood I can spend the same amount that is awful!!! But like I said with time I found quality. This like I said is timeless I feel if you can be creative...I feel it can follow my child to college the drawers change out to be plain...and I can fill the butterflies in with stain glass to make it look more grown for her...then it really can last a lifetime. The customer service was great because the only problem was with set up the drawers have to come out to do a step and they are tricky to get out but I called and it was super friendly and fast. It was a little bumpy ordering the product with the rep I will say I was nervous I have never purchased from them before and my credit card protection and we just moved so I had to call back after I called my bank and the rep would not honor the rate I was promised and was very rude and refused to get his manager I just hung up and got another rep to get me a manger and it was cared for. Every company has a problem child so I let it go the manager honored the rate I had everything written down and a promo code so it was put thru just fine. The delivery was great. We took it off the truck ourselves driver was friendly. I have since ordered more stuff from Wayfair now that the bed went thru just perfect."..."  Read more

We love this bed with the extension because of the XL length (we're tall so we expect our son to be tall and we like this). The construction is solid wood and good quality. The setup was easy enough for my hubby and my toddlers first words when he saw the bed the next morning was "Woo!". The white colour with navy blue/plaid/red bedding looks phenomenal so white does not have to mean 'girly'. Overall we love the bed and it fits well in a tiny, city room. Pitfall - it is clear they mass produce every bed frame in the exact same configuration/sizes so what this meant is that there are unnecessary rail slots on the lower bunk even though it didn't need those slots. I'm big on esthetics so when I see unncessary holes in wood it disappoints me. One notable point - being twin xl and double xl frames means you need special mattress/bedding. Now this was not hard to find or expensive but one trick I learned - a double xl fitted sheet can be swapped with a queen set. So instead of buying double xl, just buy queen size. Needed bed for son's room, but his sister has to sleep in his room when we have guests. Perfect solution for smallish bedroom. He loves his bed, the stairs are fun, the storage is great (we got storage drawers vs trundle bed under the bottom bunk). The quality is great, good support system, solid wood, nice lines. The desk is well thought out, with built in power strip, cutouts to feed cords to outlet, good drawer & shelving space. We are very happy with the purchase.
