I purchased this bed from a local retailer for $560. Prior to assembly, I was counting the bed pieces and hardware as instructed and realized I was missing a few wood dowels and screws. Normally I would have made big deal about this but I was so excited to get my daughter's bed up, that i just went to my local hardware store and purchased the extra hardware which cost a total of $8. Assembly was fairly easy BUT the instructions just show pictures. There are no words or tips when its needed. They are needed because a lot of pieces have an almost identical piece. I thought one of the pieces were identical and put the whole bed together. I realized the mattress slats were on the wrong way by time I was installing the ladder and front rail. It was terribly frustrating to unscrew the entire bed in order to fix that. Overall, it is a beautiful big white princess bed that my daughter loves. She's only 2 so the bed is a little intimidating to her but she absolutely loves it. If I had to do it all over again I would!"..."  Read more
