Briefcases

After my last briefcase failed after only 6 months requiring that I keep it closed with a leather strap, I looked at a lot of possible replacements both in stores and online. For some reason the only ones I liked in stores were black, and that ruled them out of consideration. At last I decided to take a chance on this one which I found online. It arrived rapidly, and to date I've been very happy with it. My one and only complaint is that it is a bit heavier than my old one, but I knew how much it weighed before I ordered it, so it was a compromise I was willing to make. I carry it to work daily, and it works great for carrying and protecting my laptop as well as the many documents that go in and out. When I am home I use it as a lap desk to hold my laptop, a cup of coffee, or whatever. I can't tell that it is any the worse for wear as a result of this. I will confess that I've not yet owned it for 6 months, but it is better made than my old briefcase, so I'm not worried about having to replace it as I did the other."..."  Read more

This was a great purchase! Originally priced at $250, I got it for $125. The inside is spacious, my widescreen 17" laptop fits (but not in the intended pocket), it fits in the pocket meant for folders and files. But trying to find a decent bag for my laptop that DOESN'T look like some manly piece of luggage was very difficult. The leather strap is sturdy and the leather is suprisingly supple. Classically handsome piece, very rich looking, expandable is a great feature, lots of nooks and crannies for organization, exactly what I was looking for, and I will say the 'classic' was hard to find, especially in a nice brown leather.
