My wife is a project coordinator for a nonprofit organization, and I bought this (with a Sony Viao 15.6" laptop inside) as her graduation present. Her initial reaction was that it was pretty big - and that's true. It fits the 15.6" widescreen laptop just fine, and she can put the accessories and a binder or two in the additional pockets. It took her all of three days to get over the size (the shoulder strap works great for her, she rarely uses the rollers), and she rarely goes anywhere work-related without it. In addition to that, her mom, her boss, and several co-workers want one, and asked where I found it. It's very good quality leather, the print is distinct, but all the same color - it's just a cherry red with raised croc-leather patterning. I'd call it a semi-gloss, not quite a gloss - which is just perfect as far as sheen on leather goes. The stitching is strong, I don't see any pulls or popped seams anywhere after two whole months of constant use, and the only scuff she put on the bottom of the briefcase was easily mended. Leather doesn't appear to have taken any damage from it. If I could give half a star, I may be tempted to go for 4.5, if only because the seldom-used wheel+handle system is not as solidly made as I would have wanted. Granted, for a flattened-oval-shaped telescoping handle, it's an acceptable balance between compactness and rigidity. The button for telescoping it out and back in again was a little sticky on this particular one, but not to any significant degree. Overall, this is what I was looking for (as far as price, durability, quality, function, and style), and what my wife wanted (fashion, red croc leather, function, portability). I purchased this product for its versatility. I wanted to use the roller bag when traveling for business trips, and to use just the carry briefcase for everyday office use. It does simply zip on and off. I am disappointed in the quality of the leather. I expected for the cost of this product for it to be soft and supple. It is quite hard, and seems that it might show scratches easily. Note it has not scratched yet, but I've only been using for about 2 weeks thus far. The primary interior pocket is great. Plenty of room for my big laptop, and one other section to hold papers, cell phone, etc... I wish there was a larger exterior pocket on the front, to hold cell phone, airline tickets, etc... I am a Field Data Collector, so in addition to a laptop, power cord, & mouse, I also carry several files, various forms, a caluclator, a large stapler, highlighters, envlopes, sticky notes....and this bag does the job! Since the front flap is large vs. small accessory sized pockets, it allows more room for files/forms, so there are actually 3 areas for this, plus there is an inside zippered area for small accessories. The inside is somewhat expandable, so don't be hesitant because of the advertised 5 inch deep measurement, (I was!) It is absolutely beautiful, a deep cherry color, classy, & does indeed bring lots of comments and compliments! The zippers are quality/heavy duty, the wheels are sturdy, the bag rolls well down the aisle of the plane, & fits in the overhead bin with ease. My only concern is that the expanding handle does not feel as 'stationed' as I would like, but there are just too many pros as well as the limited lifetime warranty for me to stress over this!"..."  Read more

My criteria in looking for a rolling laptop case for my 17" Macbook Pro was 1) it had to be as light as possible, 2) it had to have a strap that fit over the handle of a suitcase, 3) it had to fit easily in the aisle of a plane and go under the seat, 4) it had to look professional, so a wheeled backpack wouldn't do. It's a given that it has to wheel easily and be well made and have good padding. This fit all my criteria. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that I wanted a case that was just large enough to hold the laptop and a few attachments and have wheels and a handle. I didn't want extra space (and weight) for clothing, but I could not find a case with wheels like that. I actually ended up having to use the extra space for clothing though so it worked out on my last trip. If you don't have clothing and you want to use the large clothing compartment for other electric gadgets, it would be nice to have pockets in it so things don't fly around My other wish is that it would come in some color besides black! A problem that I had was that when I put it over the handle of my 25" suitcase, the handle of the suitcase wasn't long enough, and I couldn't get my hand in between the top of the laptop and suitcase handle. I actually bought a new 25" suitcase (I wanted a spinner anyway) that had a long enough handle. I had to take the laptop case to a store and try it on the handles of all the bags to see which ones had a long enough handle. This case is well made, it has good padding and wheels easily and the zippers are good. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it didn't have any pockets in the large compartment and didn't have a choice of colors."..."  Read more
