It works flawlessly and once you evaluate what level of toasting fits the type of "toastable" that you're inserting into the machine, you end up with a perfect result every time. The toaster automatically "sleeps" itself when not in use and the buttons and handles are very solid and well made. The handy browning control permits a very easy and convenient way to adjust the toasting, and it does a great job with bagels. The bread lowers whisper-quiet and beeps when done. I like the peek feature which lifts the bread so that you can check its progress. This toaster is pricier than most, but its uniqueness, looks, and efficiency justified the cost for me."..."
