Easy to use and powerful

I have had my new convection toaster oven for over a month now and I really like it. The controls are intuitive, and there are many convenient features, for instance the oven rack automatically extends when the door is opened when it is in the middle position. Broiler temp extends up to 500 degF, a nice feature when you want to sear meat. The 1800 watts of power make toasting quick. I also like the fact that I can turn off the convection fan manually. I only have three minor quibbles: first there is no oven light, so you have to either open the door to check on what's cooking or you have to have a flashlight handy. Also the broiler pan is enameled, a nice feature, but the pizza pan is non-stick which is even nicer, I wish they had made the broiler pan non stick also. The also recommend hand washing both the broiler and pizza pans, I would have preferred them to be dishwasher safe. However, for the convenience and flexibility of this unit these are minor complaints.
Just what the chef ordered!

Love this toaster oven. It cooks fast and evenly with convection heat. But what's amazing is how quickly it preheats. No more waiting 15 minutes plus for the big gas oven to hit 425 degrees. We use it for almost everything...fish, burgers, pizzas, toast and more and it works great. The most important feature of this oven is its 1800 watts of power. I had a Cuisinart before that had 1800 watts and it did a great job. Anything less to me is a waste...it just takes too long to cook items. That being said however, Breville beats Cuisinart hands down. Yes it's pretty pricey for a toaster oven...but this device is so much more than a toaster oven. I'm looking forward to using it for holidays when there never seems to be enough oven space to cook a big meal. And since the Breville holds a 9 x 13 pan...it's almost like having a second oven.
You get what you pay for.

This saying works both good and bad. My wife and I were looking for a toaster oven to last for years and as much as possible replace our regular oven. And that's exactly what we got--probably even better than our regular oven. It fits up to 13 inches diameter pizza, etc., and even includes both a pizza tray and baking tray that fit perfectly in the compartment. The oven is smart when it comes to choosing the right time and heat to prep your food perfectly, with lots of options and functions for you to manually fine-tune it outside of the presets. It's exactly what you should expect for one of the most expensive toaster ovens on the market--one of the most awesome and most effective and most reliable. I have no complaints, and I expect it to last us long and serve us well.
Breville Smart Convection Oven

The Smart Oven is worth every penny spent. I hesitated to make the purchase but after checking reviews of all brands I finally decided to try it. It's everything that the advertisements claim. My husband is continually amazed at it's capabilities and we're both very happy with it. It's a great value and I have no complaints about the product. It fits comfortably on my counter, it's extremely quiet, even when the convection fan is on, and there is little to no heat detected on the outside when cooking for long periods of time. Very even heat when baking and roasting. I't a great unit and I would defiantly recommend it. It may cost more, but you get lots more than other brands offer.
My second oven, well my first now, the big one can take a break

I heard a lot about this oven before I bought it, and I already own a couple of breville appliances so it made the choice easy. So when my other toaster oven retired, the breville was my next choice. What can I say, it delivers, heats up quickly, and so far been pretty happy, bread, bagels toasts evenly. I've made some stuffed shells in it the other day, came out great, was warm all the way thru. Havent made pizza yet in it, thats next to try. And it looks good just sitting on the counter as well.
Best toaster oven ever!

This is the best toaster oven I've ever owned. I was hesitant to purchase such a high priced toaster oven, but it's well worth it. It's small, but will still cook a 12" pizza. It cooks evenly though out the whole oven. My last toaster oven burned food in the rear corners. I do like that the top 2 racks automatically pop out when you open the door. I haven't figured out why the bottom rack that you cook most on doesn't pop out though. It does get slightly hot on the outside but nothing that is completely bothersome.

This oven is simply awesome!!! Stopped using my big one totally. This one is so much better. Easy to operate, heats up super fast, bakes broils etc to perfection. Big enough for a cake, 12 muffins, much more. Its just amazing how well this works.
I love this oven

I ordered this toaster oven because all the reviews were so positive. I have to say that I liked it so much, I bought another for my vacation home and a friend who was staying with us bought one too after seeing how well it works. It really toasts foods perfectly and is big enough to bake in if you don't feel like turning on the oven. It also has a nice modern look that blends well with my kitchen.
Worth every penny I spent on it

A little pricey, but a great oven!

When our 12-year old toaster finally died, we wanted one unit to replace the toaster and our old, flimsy Black & Decker toaster oven. The Breville has been a great choice. It is handsome enough that we leave it on the counter now. It works great as a toaster. As an oven, the heat is spread out very evenly. I especially love the pull-out rack feature, using magnets, when the oven door is opened. We use the oven EVERY day.
