Not a bad bag This is my first season using this blind bag. I was looking for a blind bag for morning hunts where I didnt need to carry a lot of extra gear. The bag does exactly what I purchased it for. I compared this bag thoroughly with the Drake Waterfowl Blind bag and was concerned about the strap hardware on the Drake. I feel the Boyt Harness bag could be slightly more efficient as far as dedicated pockets for essential waterfowl hunting gear. The end pockets fit two boxes of shells if you really cram the boxes in. the drawback here is the zippers have a difficult time making the corner around the shell boxes. It has shell loops in the longer side pocket which I use for carrying extra duck and goose calls. When I put the calls in the pocket, it does not want to close without some effort, I wish the side pockets expanded slightly more as you really can't put much in them. In the main compartment I carry layering gear, a jacket, extra gloves, warm hats, handwarmers, some snacks and a small insulated bottle for my morning coffee. Everything fits well. I wish there were interior mesh or zippered pockets in the main compartment for licenes/permits handwarmers etc.so things weren't just stuffed in together. |
