We own another Fisher-Price cradle swing that only uses batteries as a power source. While that is fine it was also costing us a lot of money! So we decided to go ahead and purchase this swing since we can plug it into the wall. Our daughter slept through the night at one month old thanks to the first cradle swing we purchased and now our son does too! My husband and I tell all of our friends to purchase these swings. They are wonderful quality and LAST! We have had our first cradle swing since 2006 and four years later it is still swinging away! There are a few differences in this newer model. When the seat is reclined it seems to lay flatter and not hold the baby on an angle as much...which I prefer. It doesn't swing AS fast as our other Fisher-Price cradle swing but it seems to do the job of getting our little one to sleep so no complaints there either. I love the star light that shines around the swing as it moves...its adorable and our son loves to see them. The mobile is also adorable and the bottom of the netting is weighted down so you don't have to worry about your baby getting tangled in it. I've used this swing for my baby since she was born. She's now nearly 4 months old and still using it. It's actually the place where she sleeps at night, since it keeps her upper body and head slightly elevated, and since she can't squirm into any other position, she's quite safe in it. It's great if your baby has reflux problems like mine did for the first month. She sleeps wonderfully in it and the music it plays (it has on on-off switch and will go off by itself after awhile)actually lulls her to sleep. I'm sure this swing has helped me get more sleep at night than I would've gotten without it. Only drawbacks are having to get a new swing soon that's made for an older baby when my daughter starts sitting up since this one only semi-reclines, and, of course, buying lots of batteries."..."  Read more

This product is a life-safer for me as I can sit my daughter in it while I make dinner, do laundry, etc. She can see me so happily watches as I do errands around the house. I also like that the cover is easily washable after baby spit-up or other accidents. The colors are neutral, which was a big plus for me as I hated the vomit worthy colors of other baby products.
