A little 'work horse' to make my life easier!

Before purchasing the Bosch Styline,I had mulled over whether to deviate from getting a new Kitchen Aid, but I am happy to say that switching brand loyalties has been serendipity for me. For starters, I had reached a point where I really didn't need the big Professional 5 quart Kitchen Aid (which I readily gave to my daughter-in-law when I moved). I didn't want it on my countertop in my lovely new kitchen, and I didn't want to have to lug the 29 pound mixer out from a cabinet every time I wanted to use it. The Styline is 450 watts of sheer energy, and although I had envisioned storing it and not keeping it on my countertop because after all, it only weights 10 pounds, after I received it, I have had no problems in keeping it on the countertop. The Styline takes up very little space and is very compact when the mixing head is in its locked position. I have found it to be a bit awkward to have to press the button to raise and lower the head with each use, and it isn't as easy to add flour to the bowl as I thought it would be. I initially had trouble getting the dough hook attachment on and off, but it's a matter of learning the feel as to the proper position for the attachments. Those things, aside, however, it is a powerful little mixer and has thus far served my baking proclivities well! An added plus that comes with this mixer is a shredder that has three blades, and other attachments are available for purchase if one is so inclined: a food processor, a blender, and a citrus juicer. European models of this Styline design come in bigger, more powerful sizes and are offered in stainless steel which is quite aesthetic and pleasing to the eye. I find it interesting that Bosch has offered this smaller sibling, available only in white, to introduce to the American market, but perhaps some of this has to do with competition against the more firmly ensconced Kitchen Aid. I did take price into consideration in choosing the Bosch, and had it been many more dollars, I might have been a bit more reluctant to change brands. All in all, I have found this mixer to be fun to use and a little powerhouse of energy to knead bread, mix cookie dough, grate cheese, carrots, and nuts; I am sure I will utilize it in many other ways as time goes on. I am glad I chose this Bosch Styline!
Pricey, but does the job

I like this mixer, but had to swallow a few times over the price! Ouch! Does a good job with pizza dough. I hope to mainly use it to make whole wheat bread, but have not done that yet, so I can't comment on how it handles the dough. It came with a food processor, but I plan to use this only as a mixer. Would be nice to have the option to purchase the mixer at a lower price without the add on of the food processor.
Great Stand Mixer
Janice from Hayward, CA – Verified Buyer
it's a great stand mixer, a lot lighter than any other brand name stand mixers. The sound is very quiet also. I have used this stand mixer to make bread, noodles, cookies..,etc, It's easy to use. Very happy to have it. It's one of my favorite kitchen tools now.
Great Product for Master Chefs

Purchased for my wife for Christmas and she LOVES it. Had a Kitchen Aid but naturally then one hits all sides of the bowl. Spend the extra money now for this machine instead of getting the cheaper Kitchen Aid that she won't be as happy with later.
Beautiful and functional.

A definite improvement over the older model. The motor is quieter. It kneads bread very well, although not as fast as the Universal Plus, but for the price, it is great.

Bought it for a present. My wife was happy with it.
