I can't speak to how well these stools stand up to everyday use as I returned them a couple of days after I received them. This was my fault as I'd ordered 29 stools and needed considerably taller ones for my freakishly high counter. I suspected that that might be the case but didn't want to pay $299 + taxes and int'l shipping (I'm in Canada) for the 34 stools (different brand) that Wayfair carries. In the end, I bit the bullet and bought the taller ones. Had the counter height worked, I would have kept these. The finish is really rich-looking and the cushionedpadded parts do not look cheap at all. The whole stool looks very high end and the cushion is very comfortable, not too squishy and not too firm. It did take me about 30 minutes to put each of them together. There's a label underneath stating that the product is MDF. I found that surprising because they're heavy enough that they feel like wood. Overall, they feel very solid and the finish really is beautiful. I'd prefer it if the foot rest were rounded as that's more comfortable on sock feet but as it is, it's quite good as the foot rest is deeper than it looks in the picture so your feet can sit quite flat and be comfortable. One thing to note is that when you buy stools with a back, you do lose a little bit of butt room so if you're at all wide in the butt area, consider backless ones. I'm 6' 2 209 lbs so I'm heightweight proportionate but I'm fairly broad through the hip area so a bit more butt real estate would be nice. That said, it's nice to lean back and have the support and maybe good to have as well for those who have a drink or two too many! Overall, these seem like great value for the price. Just order your items carefully because while Wayfair is great with returns, you will not get your shipping costs back. For me, that was a significant amount and then I paid shipping again for the 34 American Heritage Maxwell Bonded Leather Stool. Those arrive next week and I sure hope they work out as I can't lose more shipping $$.
great bar stool, great price

We spent several weeks searching for bar stools. These, in my opinion are the best stools in the hundred dollar range, we bought 4 and with the 15 percent discount paid around 80 dollars each, best deal around. The stools look like they cost at least twice what we paid, very nice. The seat cushion and vinyl are robust, and the chair is quite sturdy considering you have to assemble it with machine screws. There is a little bit of flexion at the seat swivel, but it has never interfered with the operation of the chair. I like the fact that each connection uses 2 screws, instead of one. And the screws never go into wood, instead they screw into metal thread inserts which are inserted into the wood. You could take these apart and pack them away for a move and reassemble them later and not compromise their structural integrity. Shipping was very fast, we got them in about three days. Only 2 negatives that I found. Be aware that they use finger joining on some of this furniture, I did find them on each chair. And one of the screws came with bad threads at the tip, I had to use a metric tap and die set to chase the thread with. And one piece of advice, use a 4 mm allen and a ratchet to assemble the furniture, much easier and faster. All things considered I would still rate these at the top for a mid priced bar stool.

First, this stool is built very well. Solid. Looks much more expensive. My wife doesn't like the round seats. I don't mind them. Personal opinion. Assembling the chairs is easy after the first one. I followed the instructions, but had to change the steps to make it work. Attach the seat attachment to the legs and leave the screws very loose. Than attach the lower ring. If you do it according to the instructions, it is difficult to screw the screws on the top of the legs. I ordered the Cherry finish because I felt the cappuccino would be too dark. The cherry is still a dark finish. Pros: Very solid, wel built stool. Looks much more expensive. Cons: Assembly instructions. Very minor con!
Barstools look great!

The 29" Boraam Augusta Barstools came as I expected & took about 30 minutes per stool to assemble (time-consuming but easy as long as you line up the holes right). I was happily surprised by the quality of the chairs & have been using them for only 2 weeks, as we had to build the breakfast bar 1st. Only one problem: we have a 42" bar & looked up what size stool to buy & any stool 29"-31" would work....well these are too low: the 29" measures to the middle of the puffy, stuffed stool seat topper, so we are really at about 26"...luckily we are tall people, but would prefer the taller stools...unfortunately, didn't assemble them until the bar was ready & it was already beyond the 30 day return/exchange policy. Too bad.
Great barstools, good quality, great style.

These barstools are fantastic and meet the description. The seat and back are comfortable and swivel mechanism works great. We liked the first four so well that we purchased 3 more for another room in our house. Look good enough for the kitchen and work well for a bar as well. The assembly does take some effort. There are 26 allen head screws for the assembly. Putting this together with an allen wrench would be painful. I used a electric screwdriver with an allen bit and a 1/4" drive ratched with the allen bit. This made the assembly a lot better, as it probably made the process 2-3 times faster. The first one probably took 20-30 minutes, but by the end I could assemble one in under 10 minutes. Well recommended. Good price, good quality, great function.
Great Bargain and Truth in Advertising

I ordered three stools just prior to the Christmas holidays and, though the ad said two day shipping guaranteed, I did not believe it would happen at this time of year. Sure enough the bar stools arrived on Christmas Eve. That was just the beginning. I discovered that they were of much higher quality than a set my friend purchased at one of the big box stores at $20.00 more per stool. I got everything as advertised and more, especially in quality. I have one suggestion for the assembly instructions. The order of assembly should be revised to direct the back be attached to the seat first, as opposed to last. If you follow the instructions as now written, attaching the back is much more difficult than if you do it first.
Sitting on it right now.

Comfortable. Very well made. Wood and finish are top quality. Construction is top notch even though it ships in a box and you put it together. Not hard to put together though takes a little while merely because there are bolts to put in it. Wood has metal threaded sleeves in it so you dont have to worry about stripping anything. Do follow the instrutions and dont tighten bolts on each step until they are all in and then go around gradually tightening them and it pulls together nicely there is a little bit of a spring effect on the bottom hoop and chair back so you have to tighten the bolts down evenly (no big deal, just be aware of it). Faux leather bad appears durable. Swivel works great. Be sure to know before ordering whether you need a 24 or 29 stool.
Happy with them
Jim from Atlanta
Bought these for my basement. They are well made. Just go in understanding that it will take a pretty long time to put them together and the instructions are wrong. They send you all the bolts, nuts, washers, etc. in a little package that is numbered but the numbers don't match the instructions so you have to go by the description and number of items to figure out which number is which on the instructions. Didn't figure this out until halfway through the 1st stool being assembled then had to start over. Once I was done….really like them though.
A litle small
Sandra from OKAUCHEE, WI – Verified Buyer
They are sturdy.. some of the chairs were harder to put together than others due to screw holes that needed extra attention. The seat is a little small due to the chair back taking up some of the seat area. I am a small person and even noticed this. As a short person the bottom foot rail is a little low for me, but I assume is good for a taller person, but then the seat is small for them. I would have sent back if I had only ordered one, but will make due as I don't want the hassle of sending them all back.

I have been looking for a good barstool at a resemble price for about three weeks and found these on clearance sale. I'm glad I did. I bought four in the cherry and they are beautiful. My wife and I are thrilled at how sturdy and well made they are. I received them in three days and was well pleased at how well they were packed in the boxes. Took me about thirty minutes each to assemble. Add time to that if you choose to use the wrench provided and cramp your fingers. These barstools are probably the best furniture purchase for the price I have ever made.
