The light cherry was darker than I wanted, and the stool was shorter, but I learned that once assembled, a product cannot be returned. I think that should be made clear at the time of ordering. Looks great however I don't feel they are very comfortable. I wish I would have gotten end chairs that have a longer chair cushion, (from back to front) like the leather ones . Was this helpful? It was simple to order them and we even had a selection of various finishes-we went with the 'cherry' as it 'ties' in better with other items in our home. The putting together was a 'bonding' time for my husband and I....it took us 4 hrs to put together 6 of these chairs - not that it was difficult...it was just a lot of washers and screws that needed to be put in a certain way.
