I had purchased a patio umbrella at one of the "big box" stores. They only had one base that fit - it weighed 60 pounds - something that I couldn't lift - and it was very plain. This base weighs 30 pounds and is portable, it is quite stylish and would match an umbrella of any color. It also has an adjustable pole holder, so it works with a number of umbrellas. The assembly instructions are written in English that is badly translated from Chinese, but since there are only three pieces to assemble, common sense will get anyone through quite easily. Overall, I got exactly what I needed at a very good price.
