BonJour Stainless Steel 1.5-Quart "All In One" Double Boiler - 53771

The Bonjour Stainless Steel 1.5Qt double boiler has excellent design in terms of the usage and look. The holding capacity is perfect for an average, even to large, family size. It warms up the gravy quickly without burning it as it claims. If you like, you may add hot water into the water chamber to save few minutes of the heat up time. It is very important not to over fill the water chamber and use medium to low fire. It’s because the water expends while it is being heat up inside the water chamber. It is worth every penny that I spent on it.

My husband purchased this product for me a few years ago and when visiting a friend I noticed she was using the two pot double boiler. I decided to give her an updated version for Christmas. Couldnt find it in the local stores, so was pleased to find it at Wayfair and have it shipped to Canada. No problems...took two weeks though having to go through customs and Christmas rush. She just loves it. I think shes used it more than me now. Oh, yes...coconut cream pies are soooo smooth and dont be deceived this little boiler holds alot. Watch the amount of water you pour into the handle otherwise it will spit, and use rubber spatula or you will mark your boiler. Ive had wonderful results.

I chose this double broiler because of the unique design... ONE POT! that part is fantastic. It is easy to use and clean up. The down fall is that the directions say the pot will whistle when it needs the water refilled. My pot wistled the entire time, and it seemed to need water added frequently. However, adding water was very easy and not a problem. I would still reccomend this product. BUT read the directions BEFORE you use it.
