Blomus Rido Bottle Opener - 63122

Bought two, very stylish accessory to add to your home bar, also acts as a decorative design by just sitting on the bar/counter.

Why buy a bottle opener that also opens cans? Or rusts? This bottle opener from Blomus does one thing and does it very well. No, I lie. It does a second thing: looks beautiful on my bar counter.

I really liked the design of this opener when I first saw it, but was a little disappointed when I received it. The product is machined very well with the exception of the inside opening (the part that takes off a bottle cap), which has a bit of a rough finish compared to the rest of the piece. Because it is a relatively wide, thin, flat piece of metal, it is not very comfortable to use and I tend to have to grab bottle caps a couple of times to pop them off. Rido has clearly placed form over function with this opener and prices at a premium for the luxury. If you must have a designer bottle opener, this one does the trick nicely. If I hadn't bought it, I'd probably still be lusting over it.

Very stylish but the actual opener part doesn't automatically grab the cap - you need to finesse it off.
