I bought this blender because it was highly reviewed in several reputable places as being a "best buy" in my price range. I don't use a blender everyday - a few times a week at most, so i wasn't needing a super nice one. Overall i think it does it's job - but it does have a hard time with getting "air pockets" which causes it to stop "blending" and pulling the food down in to the blades. You to need to shake the canister to remedy this, which IMO isn't a big deal. Almost all blenders i have tried in this price range do this. It did blend my smoothie and my milkshake very very well. Much better than previous blenders for sure. And it didn't have any issues blending ice either - which is a huge plus. It was very easy to clean and assemble which i like - and if you don't want to use the spout, you don't have to. It comes with a "plug" to insert there instead. Overall i think its a great blender for the price!"..."  Read more

The benefit of any hand blender is the ability to bring the tool to the job, such as blending ingredients in a stock pot. The detatchable stainless steel shaft allows for easy cleaning and will not stain, as some plastic models do. It fits the hand nicely, and is not too long & cumbersome, as one top-rated competitive product is. There are no frills, such as a whisk or mini chopper and it is one speed operation."..."  Read more

Have not had a chance to test-drive this in its chopping mode, or anything but blending smoothies and soups. The accessories seem to be well constructed and heavy duty. The blender is certainly heavy duty and exponentially more powerful (and quite a bit bigger) than the Cuisinart stick blender that I had. The pitcher/beaker is average, but I always prefer a heavy glass beaker that won't tip over. (I use a large vintage glass darkroom beaker.) The soft grip handle and the 2 speed switch feel good in the hand. Looking forward to giving this one a workout with all the accessories."..."  Read more

I have used the Cuisinart Smart Stick Plus Hand Blender for over a month and it works great. It's cordless and very easy to use, it comes with a recipe book/instruction book. My favorite thing to make is Hummus and that recipe is included in the book."..."  Read more
