Blenders

I was looking at purchasing a KitchenA** Pro Series or Cuisin*** Stand Mixer, [$]( I burnt/broke my HSN Wolfgang P*** Stand Mixer)My Blender was 10 years old and worn out and gunky from lots of Margaritas. I really did not understand how the mixerbowl worked but I decided to give the Mix Blend a try. I am able to make cookie dough which is what I most wanted it for. The Blender portion is incredible-1000 watts of power makes Commercial Grade Smoothies at home-my kids who wont eat fruit request banana-strawberry smoothies everyday now. I have seen this brand in use at a National Chain ([...]) Makes a killer frozen Margarita. Clean up is a breeze and digital read out is easy to follow and makes it nearly impossible to make a mistake. It makes a lot of bread dough, Three loaves my first batch, but I really only need a stand mixer to make cake batter and mix cookie dough which I have gotten to lazy to mix by hand. I replaced two broken worn out appliances, saving [$] cash and even more valuable counter space! What a great deal. The packaging appeared to have been opened and resealed-White foam which surrounded unit was broken and taped up. The DVD which was included was for a older version of the unit but I got the idea. We've made so much with the Magic Bullet since it arrived a couple of weeks ago: Strawberry-pineapple smoothies, shakes, coffee drinks, even sauces. (I made a cilantro cream sauce to put on some fish tacos, as well.) What I love about the Magic Bullet: - The blender starts with the simple press of the top of the canister (which is closed and then inverted onto the base). Simply press and turn to cause the blender to keep running hands-free. - Two blades: One more geared for chopping and one for whipping. - Four handled cups for instant serving, each with a different colored lip guard for comfortable drinking. - It is so versatile: It purees drinks and sauces as well as lightly chops vegetables for chutneys and salsas. What we're not crazy about: - It's a bit loud. (But I've never really met a blender that isn't.) - The plastic nodules on the top of the cups are sharp; I have learned I have to screw the base and lip guards on with a towel around it to protect my hand from getting scraped. All in all, the Magic Bullet is a handy appliance that I'm glad I have added to our kitchen. We just got this one to replace the Vita-Mix that we had used regularly for 10 years! We've tried many others, and can honestly say that this is the very best brand in blenders. It is well worth the investment, since it has a much longer lifetime and has much more power than other blenders. We often see them used in commecial smoothie bars."..."  Read more

This blender does SO MUCH. Since we've got it, we've been making smoothies every morning. This blender actually heats up its contents for easy soups. You could probably blend elk bones into a fine powder, (if thats your thing). We choose to make almond butter instead. It comes with a really large binder with tips and a recipe book, and we've just been so impressed since we opened the box. GREAT PRODUCT!
