I bought this blender because it was highly reviewed in several reputable places as being a "best buy" in my price range. I don't use a blender everyday - a few times a week at most, so i wasn't needing a super nice one. Overall i think it does it's job - but it does have a hard time with getting "air pockets" which causes it to stop "blending" and pulling the food down in to the blades. You to need to shake the canister to remedy this, which IMO isn't a big deal. Almost all blenders i have tried in this price range do this. It did blend my smoothie and my milkshake very very well. Much better than previous blenders for sure. And it didn't have any issues blending ice either - which is a huge plus. It was very easy to clean and assemble which i like - and if you don't want to use the spout, you don't have to. It comes with a "plug" to insert there instead. Overall i think its a great blender for the price!"..."  Read more

I LOVE this personal blender. I use it daily, as do my husband and son. We each make our own morning shakes with frozen fruit, milk and protein powder. It's nice that we can choose our own ingredients, so I can make mine with almond milk and flax, and my son can use regular milk and his favorite frozen berries. The cups that come with the blender don't hold a lot of ingredients, so I bought the XL cups on the side. I also bought more travel lids, since we take our smoothies with us. I have not found anything the blender won't blend. We've blended ice, frozen fruit, fresh fruit and vegetables (great for making omelets!) and have added many different kinds of liquid to it. It literally takes less than a minute to create your own smoothie and at a fraction of the cost of the smoothie joints. The cups say that they must be hand washed, and they do clean up just fine with hot water and a dab of soap, but I have run them in the dishwasher with no adverse effects."..."  Read more

I was looking at purchasing a KitchenA** Pro Series or Cuisin*** Stand Mixer, [$]( I burnt/broke my HSN Wolfgang P*** Stand Mixer)My Blender was 10 years old and worn out and gunky from lots of Margaritas. I really did not understand how the mixerbowl worked but I decided to give the Mix Blend a try. I am able to make cookie dough which is what I most wanted it for. The Blender portion is incredible-1000 watts of power makes Commercial Grade Smoothies at home-my kids who wont eat fruit request banana-strawberry smoothies everyday now. I have seen this brand in use at a National Chain ([...]) Makes a killer frozen Margarita. Clean up is a breeze and digital read out is easy to follow and makes it nearly impossible to make a mistake. It makes a lot of bread dough, Three loaves my first batch, but I really only need a stand mixer to make cake batter and mix cookie dough which I have gotten to lazy to mix by hand. I replaced two broken worn out appliances, saving [$] cash and even more valuable counter space! What a great deal. The packaging appeared to have been opened and resealed-White foam which surrounded unit was broken and taped up. The DVD which was included was for a older version of the unit but I got the idea. Visiting the manufactures web site was helpful."..."  Read more

pros: It's heavy duty and works well. I make smoothies as my primary use for the blender and add a handful of spinach. The blender really blends the green leaves into nothing, there are no little green pieces left. Easy clean. One piece container is easy to squirt some liquid soap in and water and blend on stir to clean the blades. I also use a dish scrub brush to clean the insides of the container and lid. Blenders really only need a low and high speed. Kitchen aid one has a couple more options for speed, but way less than many other blenders that confuse you with thinking the buttons really do something. cons: It is loud. I can stand it but my kids complain. The base is heavy. So it's nice to be able to have counter space to keep it. But the heaviness is a nice comfort knowing it's heavy duty and works. I wanted a blender that I didn't have to stop every time to mix up with a spoon. I still have to do that with this one. I think that I just need to add more liquid. But somethings I don't want more liquid added so it's a pain to have to keep using a spoon. Kind of smells. I hoped that it would go away and just be a new product kind of smell. But I've had it for almost 6 months and it still smells..."..."  Read more
