I have two of these throws. I keep an ivory one in my living area and the blackberry wine throw folded at the foot of my bed. I also have very luxurious faux lynx and chinchilla throws, but I reach for the serengeti throws again & again. They are the softest material I have ever felt! This is the best electric blanket I have owned and believe me, I've owned many! My husband and I live in a ski resort area so you can only imagine how cold it gets. Even our nights in the summer are cool. Might go so far to say "we don't use, we abuse them" as our blanket is on all year long. They last longer than any of the other brands I've tried and have a little weight to them which makes them warm more effectively. There are no negatives to this blanket. This is my second one in 5 years and with continual use, that's not a bad investment....Outlasted other brands I've purchased by 3 years. If you are looking for an electric blanket, go for it. Ive ordered several of these kingsize blue blankets to use as bedspreads and covers for my recliners and sofas--to protect them from my three cats.. The blue fabric reflects the lights--so that it appears a lighter blue than the navy shown in the picture. The square quilting is very attractive. Ive not noticed any cat fur clinging, but my cats do love to lie down on the blankets--probably for the same reasons I enjoy wrapping up in the blankets they are very pretty, soft, warm, and cuddly. I wish both sides of the Thinsulate blanket were backed with Micromink. I would like to buy the identical Thinsulate blanket in pink and cranberry red."..."  Read more

I am very happy with this blanket. it is almost impossible to find wool blankets anymore, and if you do they are priced sky high. This blanket is a great weight, nicely finished and generously sized. The only slight drawback is that as a Merino wool product I expected it to be softer...more like the Merion wool sweaters and scarves I own.
