Toasting feature is very weak. As a small countertop oven, its okay. As a replacement for my dead toaster oven, its not good. The knob is very hard to turn, and you have to dial it past 20 and then BACK to the setting you want. And since settings are not marked, you never get the same level of toasting twice. And you have to watch the bagel to be sure it doesnt burn since there is no consistent way to set it. I am seriously considering going back to a basic toaster oven. I can make a pizza or baked potato in the regular oven just as easily. |

Really awesome Has a really accurate temperature. Most toaster ovens are too hot, but this one is spot on. Its kind of big, so if you don't have a lot of counter space watch out. I don't and it takes up half my counter... but it is so worth it. |

Sweet spot toaster I use toaster ovens mostly for toasting bread, nuts, and other smaller items, where the toaster is on for less than 20 minutes. This one excels at this, with its various levels for the wire rack and fairly large size interior. The selection knobs allow for plenty of options for heat and time and are both easy to use and dependable. I really like the included trays (both solid and one with holes that fits inside it) and have used them many times to toast smaller items. They are made of lightweight aluminum, which heat up and cool down very quickly, making them safe around the kitchen when you remove them from the oven. As can be expected for a mid-range toaster oven, it isn't the best for oven purposes. When left on for more than 30 minutes, it gets very hot and radiates heat quite a bit. We used it to cook 3 potatoes once and it was on the highest setting for over an hour and took considerably longer than if I had just used our traditional oven at the same temperature (I'm guessing it can't actually maintain this high temperature). The cabinet and counter around the toaster were very hot. I will not be using it for that purpose ever again. I've had the toaster for a few months and it still looks brand new, despite being used several times a week. Cleaning is easy and the materials really seem to be solid. It will be in our kitchen for years to come. |
