Window Bird Feeder
Mildred from Lawrenceburg, KY– Verified Buyer
I loved the idea of a see-through bird feeder that attaches to any window so my daughter could watch the birds while she is eating breakfast in the mornings. I was also excited to read online about how classrooms use these to allow kids to observe up-close the birds feeding, record their observations, etc. However, the birds were having none of it. I had only a few try it out in the first week. I then moved it to another window closer to the birdbath; they hated this location even more. My father stated the obvious: "Duh! Birds aren't stupid - they're not going to sit there and placidly munch on premium birdseed when they know danger is right there on the other side of the glass." I am trying to think of a way to re-purpose it - luckily I didn't pay too much for it.
Just the right size

This feeder is the perfect size for a window, however, the plastic is just a little flimsy. Hopefully it will hold the weight of the smaller birds.
Stays on window!

Though we have not gotten many birds the ones who do come are huge and can still get the seeds. I do see them struggle to stay on, wish it just had a lip so it was easier for birds to eat seeds.
at our window

it is just what we were looking for the price was low and it holds a weeks or more worth of bird feed.

I have not used this yet but think it will be great when I put it up in the spring provided the birds cooperate

Very cool, but the squirrels can get in pretty easily.

We love the window bird feeders!!! We put them in every classroom for all the children to watch the birds this winter... We are a preschool and even our toddlers enjoy them!!

I know it didn't cost much, but it put together very cheaply, no way to keep feed dry when it rains. I don't recommend.

I got this for my husband, who loves to birdwatch. This will be installed right outside of his reading chair window this winter. great quality.
