Over a period of 17 years, we have purchased three of these Triple Tube feeders. The feeder holds 3 different kinds of bird feed so we attract many birds. And the diameter of the feeder is large enough that the different species don't crown one another! We use ours atop the pole that can be purchased. There may be feeders that are more charming-looking, etc. but there is none that beats this feeder. We are real believers!!

I live in GA and the hummers are gone for the season, so I have not been able to try the feeders I purchased. I bought 6 total (3 for me and 3 for my mom). The plastic tube is not thick but I still think it will last if brought in during the winter. I LOVE the holes where the birds will stick their beaks. Thye are closed until the beak enters and opens it up on the inside. My mom likes the design too. At a local expensive bird store, I noticed their feeders have these type feeder ports and was told by the woman who works there the design prevents bees from entering and prevents the constant dripping of the nectar. Of course it will still need an ant guard above it (they all need that unless it is built into the feeder). I am glad I bought these and am excited to use them next Spring."..." Read more

I can't believe how great this thistle feeder is! We always had problems with the house finches "taking over" our thistle feeder from the goldfinches as soon as the regular seed feeder went empty each day. Today we had 10 goldfinches at once (one was a fledgling), when the most we'd ever seen prior was 2 at a time due to their having "no rights" for the nyjer seed with the pushy house finches there. We have had a few house finches get inside the "haven", but it's still fabulous for the little yellow guys who breeze in and out at will. It's also terrific in that I'm going through MUCH less nyjer seed now, and the tiny guys are also getting a chance to eat well now.
