Bird Feeders

I have a neighbor who has a hummingbird feeder and enjoy watching them but the birds are just to far away to appreciate. Therefore I decided to get my own and wound up choosing two of these feeders. Well I'm sure he must be a bit upset with me because all the action is now at my place. I have to admit that these feeders are very atractive not only to me but to the hummingbirds also, what with the bright purple flowers and pink butterflys with perches, well they just can't resist. If the birds are active and you hold the feeder in your hand they will fly right to it and feed right in front of you. My wife and I hoped to attract Cardinals when we bought our No-No feeder. Within a few days we had Cardinals, Gold Finches and a beautiful bird that neither of us had ever seen before. An online birding site told us that the black, white and red bird was a Red-Breasted Grosbeak! This well-built feeder is "attractive" in every sense of the word. As I indicated, I feel that the Audubon/Woodlink Munch House Squirrel Feeder is a Five Star product. After I bought it, I was concerned that the squirrels may not figure out how to use it, but I underestimated them. At first the transparent front fooled them. I chuckled as they would try to grab a peanut, only to bump into the transparent front. They scampered around the box, then saw the holes in each end, and reached in and got their peanuts. Now, I make sure I put peanuts in first thing in the morning, and unfortunately for my wallet, they clean it out by noon. I then put more in around mid afternoon, and they munch on, and hide peanuts for the rest of the day. One thing I didn't count on though; is that squirrels do not play fair. I've noticed that occasionally, one grey squirrel sits on the top, and as soon as other squirrels appear, he chases them away. However, when he leaves, the other squirrels arrive again. I figure they'll just need to work it out. I'll supply the peanuts, but I can't be the referee! All in all, it's a great product. If I could, I would have the squirrels give a testimonial. This sitting Angel is very nice, I thought the bird feeder was a little small. I have it sitting in my flower garden. Looks just as picture. Might have to order another one."
